Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the CamPass app and the website at campass.northboundhouse.com. By downloading, installing, or using CamPass, you agree to them.
In plain terms: CamPass is licensed, not sold. One purchase is a lifetime license you can use on up to three of your own Macs. Try it free for 7 days first. Don't resell it or try to work around the license, and understand it's provided "as is."
1. The agreement
CamPass is provided by Northbound House ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use CamPass.
2. License
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use CamPass:
- Free trial. You may evaluate CamPass at no charge for 7 days.
- Paid license. A purchased license is a one-time, lifetime license that may be activated on up to 3 Macs that you own or control.
The license is for your own use. It does not transfer ownership of the software to you.
3. Ownership
CamPass, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Northbound House and protected by intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
4. Things you agree not to do
- Copy, resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute CamPass or your license key.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, activation limits, or security features.
- Use CamPass unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights.
5. Purchases, pricing, and refunds
Purchases are processed by Freemius, Inc., our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to Freemius's checkout terms, and charges may appear on your statement as "FREEMIUS."
Prices are shown at checkout and may change over time; changes do not affect a license you've already purchased. If you're not satisfied, refund requests are handled in accordance with Freemius's refund policy — contact us at hello@northboundhouse.com and we'll help.
6. Updates
We may release updates, improvements, and fixes to CamPass from time to time. We may also change or discontinue features. We aim to keep CamPass working well but don't guarantee that any particular feature will be maintained indefinitely.
7. Requirements
CamPass requires two Macs running macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later on the same local network. You're responsible for your own hardware, software, and network.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
CamPass is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that CamPass will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every configuration.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Northbound House will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of CamPass. Our total liability for any claim relating to CamPass will not exceed the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
This license remains in effect until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach these terms. On termination, you must stop using CamPass and remove it from your Macs. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Northbound House is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of CamPass means you accept the updated terms.
